Job Overview
The Print Production Supervisor oversees daily operations within the printing department to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and with high quality. This role is responsible for supervising print operators, coordinating production schedules, troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining equipment, and enforcing workplace safety and quality standards.

- Supervise day-to-day print production operations across multiple shifts or presses.
- Assign duties to press operators and support staff based on production schedules and staffing.
- Monitor job progress and ensure print jobs meet quality, color, and finishing specifications.
- Communicate effectively with scheduling, prepress, finishing, and shipping departments.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance; recommend corrective actions or development opportunities.
- Maintain and troubleshoot printing equipment; coordinate maintenance with technical support.
- Ensure compliance with safety, cleanliness, and environmental regulations.
- Record and report production data, waste, downtime, and quality issues.
- Implement process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or technical degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a print production environment; supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of printing processes (e.g., offset, flexo, digital) and finishing equipment.
- Proven leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and computer literacy (including production tracking systems).
- Effective communicator with excellent attention to detail.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Fast-paced production floor; exposure to noise, ink, chemicals, and moving machinery.
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. required.
- May require flexible hours or weekend shifts, depending on production needs.
