Full Stack Java Developer to support a project with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The ideal candidate will have a robust background in both front-end and back-end development. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality software solutions throughout the development process.The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable applications using Java, Java EE, Spring, and related technologies.
- Build responsive front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.
- Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and databases using Java 17, Python, SQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Collaborate with analysts, QA, and stakeholders to ensure integration and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring smooth execution and delivery.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure high standards for code quality and performance.
- Create and maintain documentation including user stories, sprint backlogs, and release notes.
- Apply Agile and SAFe methodologies, and perform testing using tools like JUnit, Playwright, and Cypress.
- Implement secure coding practices and address vulnerabilities throughout the development cycle.
- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.
