Applied Research Solutions is seeking a full-time Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The ISSM’s primary function serves as a principal advisor on all matters, technical and otherwise, involving the security of information systems under their purview.

Responsibilities include:


  • Develop, implement, and manage the organization's information security policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Lead the development of security standards and best practices for the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate information security risks.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
  • Recommend and implement risk-reducing strategies and solutions.
  • Maintain system authorization packages and ensure continuous monitoring of systems under frameworks like RMF (Risk Management Framework).
  • Accomplish obtaining and maintaining the ATO for the our Cyber Defense Network.
  • Coordinate and lead security audits, assessments, and inspections.
  • Develop and oversee incident response plans and procedures.
  • Oversee implementation and monitoring of security controls for hardware, software, and networks.
  • Work with IT and system administrators to ensure systems remain secure through patching, configuration management, and access controls.
  • Ensure secure design and architecture of systems throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:


  • Must be US Citizen 
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance 
  • CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in information security.
