Position Overview
As a member of the AGDATA accounting team you will be responsible for core accounting functions. You will be a generalist, mastering increasingly complex accounting concepts, while developing a broad knowledge of AGDATA’s business. You will have the opportunity to work with bright co-workers across multiple teams on new projects and process improvements. AGDATA is a place where initiative and innovation are valued and your contribution makes a difference in delivering world class outcomes.We are looking for ambitious, self-starting accounting professionals who have experience leading general ledger activities, and a strong background in accounts receivable and revenue recognition.
General ledger activities will include: month-end close, reconciliations and variance analyses.
You will have the opportunity to:
· Lead customer invoicing and revenue recognition according to ASC 606· Ensure accurate and timely month-end close· Prepare various monthly journal entries· Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis· Prepare variance reports, metric reporting and various analyses· Be responsible for 13-week cash flow forecasting· Work directly with our external financial auditors· Develop, document, and enhance existing accounting policies and procedures· Work cross-functionally and cross-border to enhance customer experience, company profitability and process controls· Take initiative in recommending changes in work methods, policies, and procedures to improve operating efficiencies and drive automation· Perform additional projects and duties as directed by the Accounting Manager and Chief Financial Officer, including acquisition integration
Our Ideal Candidate will have:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting· Strong knowledge of US GAAP· Experience with revenue recognition (ASC 606)· Advanced analytical, organization, and interpersonal skills· 3-5 years of related experience· Attention to detail and accuracy· Ability to multi-task while meeting tight deadlines· Excellent Excel and systems skills (Sage Intacct, Salesforce, Jira)· Personal drive and desire to excelWe seek out and reward people who are adaptable, accountable, collaborative and curious.
