Job Summary:


The Finance Department is currently seeking a Senior Staff Accountant with strong accounting, problem-solving, and communication skills for our Zionsville, IN location.  The Senior Staff Accountant will complete a variety of monthly, quarterly, and yearly close and analysis tasks to support the Finance team. This person will work closely with stakeholders across the organization, holding responsibility for all accounting tasks for their assigned entities. This includes preparing and posting journal entries, completing complex reconciliations, managing intercompany transfers, performing consolidations and eliminations, and creating financial statements.

Tasks are performed on behalf of multiple legal entities within the Group 1001 family of companies. We are seeking a highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated person who thrives in a dynamic work environment! Main Accountabilities:


  • Completes daily accounting as well as monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
  • Prepare and maintain account and bank reconciliations
  • Assist in the allocation and preparation of monthly expense/variance reporting
  • Performs other duties as requested

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
  • CPA preferred
  • 3+ years of public/industry accounting experience
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Experience with Workday Financials a plus
  • Experience with Office Connect and Adaptive a plus
  • Advanced working knowledge of computer applications, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • A mature professional with excellent judgment, interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Superior organizational skills, detailed-oriented, and can multitask
  • Internally driven and self-motivated
  • Clear communicator with the ability to interact with senior leaders
  • Commitment to customer service and quality
