Agile Delivery Manager

The Agile Delivery Manager plays a critical leadership role in advancing our modern delivery practices and supporting the success of both our teams and leaders. This role is responsible for managing a team of 8–12 Scrum Masters and Delivery Facilitators, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities while enabling consistent delivery excellence across the organization. As both coach and operational leader, the Agile Delivery Manager will work up and down the organizational stack — from supporting delivery professionals through mentoring, training, and knowledge sharing to advising senior leadership on planning, metrics, and systemic impediments.

Key Responsibilities


  • Provide direct people management to 8–12 Scrum Masters and Delivery Facilitators, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development
  • Serve as a strategic delivery partner to senior and mid-level leadership, offering guidance on delivery practices, prioritization, planning, and cross-functional alignment
  • Champion and evolve delivery of health metrics, dashboards, and performance insights to improve transparency, forecasting, and decision-making
  • Foster a culture of learning, psychological safety, and collaboration across delivery teams, ensuring consistent application of delivery best practices
  • Design and facilitate knowledge-sharing communities, team health initiatives, and playbooks to support delivery consistency and growth
  • Identify and escalate organizational impediments impacting delivery efficiency or team effectiveness; partner with other leaders to resolve systemic blockers
  • Support cross-team coordination, including quarterly planning, backlog alignment, and cross-functional dependency resolution
  • Act as a change leader during transformation efforts, helping teams and leaders adopt new ways of working with empathy and clarity
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and portfolio leaders to strengthen team alignment, planning rigor, and outcome-focused delivery

Core Skills & Competencies


  • Strong people leadership and coaching capabilities with experience managing delivery or technical professionals
  • Deep understanding of Agile, Lean, and iterative delivery models, including Scrum, Kanban, and scaling approaches
  • Excellent facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, including comfort navigating ambiguity and conflict resolution
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to define, interpret, and act on delivery metrics and team performance signals
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and a systems thinking approach to identifying patterns and process gaps
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment between strategic objectives and delivery execution
  • Passion for mentoring others and fostering communities of practice and professional development

Required Experience


  • 8+ years in delivery leadership, program management, or Agile coaching roles within technology or product development environments
  • 3+ years of direct people management experience, ideally within a matrixed or cross-functional environment
  • Proven success supporting Agile or delivery transformation efforts across business and technology domains
  • Experience working in mid-to-large scale organizations (500+ employees), ideally across distributed or global teams
  • Comfortable operating at multiple levels — from tactical team support to strategic planning and executive advising

Preferred Qualifications


  • Agile certification(s): Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM), Certified Agile Leader (CAL), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), ICP-ACC, SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or equivalent
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification, demonstrating a strong understanding of process improvement and waste reduction principles
  • Experience designing or leading Agile communities of practice or internal enablement programs
  • Familiarity with OKRs, Agile portfolio management, and delivery forecasting tools, particularly with Azure DevOps (Delivery Plans, Analytics, etc), and PowerBI (Reporting)
  • Background in business operations, product management, or engineering leadership is a plus
