What you can expect as
a R&D Manager
at LeadDesk
- Lead and manage four R&D teams comprising approximately 20 professionals, requiring strong leadership, organizational, and people management capabilities.
- Oversee the delivery of team outputs, ensuring alignment with defined requirements, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations.
- Provide regular updates on R&D progress, including weekly status reports and other communications as needed by leadership or stakeholders.
- Represent the R&D function in both internal and external forums, clearly articulating key accomplishments and technical milestones to a broad audience.
- Act as the primary liaison for prioritization and conflict resolution in close collaboration with the Product organization, ensuring team efforts align with client needs and evolving priorities set by product managers.
- Ensure personnel skill development including utilising AI tools in development
- Process and tool development to ensure efficient deliveries now and in future

Must-haves
- Strong sense of ownership over delivery, including accountability for meeting deadlines and managing product releases.
- Proven background in software development or a comparable technical role, with a solid understanding of modern development practices.
- Demonstrated experience in line management and people leadership, including coaching, performance management, and team development.
- Ability to succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt effectively to changing priorities.
- Proactive and collaborative working style, with the ability to engage effectively not just with own teams but also with other internal teams (such as Product and Sales) and external stakeholders.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working in an international SaaS company, ideally serving enterprise customers across multiple markets.
- Proven track record of managing distributed and hybrid teams across different locations and time zones.
- Experience in leading or contributing to organizational change initiatives, including process or structural transformations.

- Work permit in Finland
- Start date: As soon as possible
- Work model: Hybrid (3 days a week at the office)
- Working hours: Flexible
