GENERAL PURPOSE:


The Account Manager II (AM II) is responsible for receiving new loan submissions and coordinating the closing of the loan within a specified time frame. The daily functions include but are not limited to, verifying borrower’s information, verifying loan rates, and collecting all necessary data. 

In this position, you will:


  • Provides support to all channels (Retail and Wholesale) Account Executives.
  • Full responsibility for loan processing and document verification for all loan types and complex loans in preparation to fund loans, including initial disclosures.
  • Maintains an accurate pipeline of loans with 20-30 loans at any given time without sacrificing responsiveness, client satisfaction or attention to detail. Demonstrates high prioritization to perform daily follow up on all deals currently in process, ensuring documents are received timely.
  • Reviews to ensure that the supported documentation is sufficient for Underwriting to make a decision. Communicates conditions from Underwriting to the borrowers, brokers and AE’s; reviews conditions when they are returned to ensure Underwriting requirements are met and that no red flags arise from the documentation provided. Tracks to make sure all conditions are satisfied.
  • Reviews files with an eye for quality assurance and verification that all pertinent documents are included.
  • Takes initiative and proactively communicates loan level risks, compensating factors and guidelines with assigned customers, professionals, managers, AE’s, Underwriters, Funders and brokers. Holds confidence to communicate status of activity and escalate issues of concerns. 
  • Supports development of peers and self.
  • This position may involve handling confidential and sensitive information as part of its daily responsibilities. Employees are expected to exercise discretion and protect all sensitive data, including but not limited to personal information, loan details, business and financial records, and proprietary materials.

Requirements

Successful candidates will possess:


  • High School diploma or GED; college Degree strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience in mortgage origination, preferably in private/hard money space.
  • Non-agency product preferred, but not required.
  • Proficient knowledge and use of MS Office (specifically Outlook, Excel and Word), imaging system and the internet.
  • Experience working with LOS Encompass required.
