Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support the daily clinical and administrative operations of our dental clinic. As an integral member of the dental team, the Dental Assistant ensures smooth clinic operations, maintains high standards of infection control, and assists providers in delivering comprehensive dental care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain infection control protocols according to CDC, OSHA, and Joint Commission standards.
- Perform dental assisting duties: operatory setup and breakdown, radiographs, impressions, chairside assisting, and hygiene support.
- Manage lab procedures, order supplies, and organize the clinic environment.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care.
- Travel between primary and satellite clinic locations as needed.
- Uphold HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards.
- Actively participate in organizational performance improvement and advocacy initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a state-accredited Dental Assistant Program required.
- Current X-ray certification and BLS certification required.
- Minimum one year of experience in a dental setting required; experience in a community health center or working with underserved populations preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred.
