The Opportunity


We are seeking a .NET Application Engineer (GovTech) to support our client’s enterprise IT modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in full-stack development using the Microsoft .NET stack and Azure cloud services. Responsibilities include modernizing legacy systems, implementing secure and scalable APIs, managing high-volume data integrations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies.Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using .NET Core, C#, and ASP.NET MVC
  • Implement robust data access layers using SQL/T-SQL and stored procedures
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to enable seamless system communication
  • Manage DevOps processes including CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
  • Lead or contribute to cloud-based application architecture and migration efforts
  • Ensure quality and performance through code reviews and automated testing
  • Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and team members to translate requirements into scalable software
  • Maintain system documentation and support user acceptance testing
  • Participate in Agile development cycles and contribute to planning, retrospectives, and demos

Compensation and Term This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $140,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.Qualifications you

A successful candidate has the following experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 6+ years of professional .NET/.NET Core development experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Azure cloud services (e.g., Azure SQL, Functions, ADF)
  • Proficiency in C#, RESTful API development, and front-end frameworks (e.g., Blazor, MVC)
  • 5+ years of SQL Server experience, including T-SQL, stored procedures, and database optimization
  • DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Azure DevOps
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices
  • Previous experience supporting large-scale public sector applications preferred
