We immerse ourselves in our customers’ world, reveal unknowns and deliver integrated solutions.We are seeking a Procurement and Warehouse Manager to work at our AWS location in San Antonio, Texas.  Candidate must be a self-starter, hands-on individual with 3-5 years of automotive industry experience.  This role oversees procurement and warehouse operations, ensuring timely material flow to meet customer demand while maintaining inventory accuracy and cost efficiency.

Key Job Elements


Procurement


  • Prioritize and respond to demand messages to effectively manage the flow of material to enable the organization to meet customer demand.
  • Take immediate action to resolve part shortages and escalate shortages that may impact customer delivery.
  • Be relentless working with Planning and Manufacturing to ensure the achievement of the on-time delivery targets of the business.
  • Ensure that freight targets are met or exceeded each month.
  • Manage incoming material to minimize expedited freight.
  • Diligently manage the procurement of material to achieve strategically targeted inventory levels
  • Undertake a detailed review and report out to leadership on current and recommended safety stock levels.

Warehouse Management


  • Manage team deliverables, to ensure the successful execution of the strategic critical success factors.
  • Work to continuously to develop the team, look for ways to grow individuals within the team and ensure cover for critical tasks.
  • Set specific goals and measure and communicate performance so team members are aware of how to be successful in their roles.
  • Manage the term to ensure inventory accuracy through a robust cycle counting process.
  • Utilize system improvement, and location accuracy to increase the overall accuracy of inventory.
  • Proactively manage inventory usage to minimize scrap and disposals and any last time buys.
  • Meet overdrive target for inventory to % of revenue metric for facility.
  • Create and drive a disciplined FIFO program.

Qualifications


Education


  • Bachelor’s degree: Business, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering

Experience


  • 5+ years purchasing experience for manufacturing environment.
  • 3-5 years of warehouse/materials management
  • Experience with QuickBooks MRP/ERP systems; Oracle JD Edwards preferred.
  • Experience in procurement of wiring, connectors, solder, and production tooling 
  • Lean Six Sigma certification – Green Belt
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
