As a Board Member, you will play a key role in corporate governance, aligning national operations with group-wide objectives while ensuring compliance with local and EU regulations. This is a mission-critical role that combines executive leadership with hands-on operational management and strategic influence at the board level.Key responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the business strategy for Lithuania in alignment with global objectives; ensure sustainable growth, operational excellence, and market relevance.
- Regulatory & Government Relations: Act as the main representative to the Bank of Lithuania and other regulatory authorities, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and industry standards.
- Board Engagement: Serve as a statutory Board Member, contributing to high-level governance decisions, risk oversight, and long-term strategic planning at the group level.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee all aspects of the local entity’s operations including finance, compliance, HR, risk management, and customer service.
- Commercial Development: Identify and pursue growth opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion strategies; manage P&L responsibility for the Lithuanian entity.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, lead, and inspire a high-performing local team while fostering a strong, inclusive, and compliant corporate culture.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the key liaison between the local team, group executives, and external stakeholders including regulators, partners, and institutional clients.
- Risk & Compliance Oversight: Ensure that risk management practices and compliance programs meet both local and global standards, with strong internal controls in place.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior executive role, ideally as a Country Manager, CEO, or Managing Director within financial services, fintech, or a highly regulated industry
- Strong understanding of Lithuanian and EU regulatory frameworks; experience interfacing with regulators (e.g., Bank of Lithuania) is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams, drive commercial growth, and maintain operational rigor
- Prior experience serving on a corporate board or in a governance role is preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- 10+ years of professional experience
- 5+ years in senior leadership or executive role
- Proven track record in managing P&L, leading cross-functional teams, and driving growth
- Fluent in English; Lithuanian language skills are a plus
- Based in Lithuania
