About This Role


The Global Planning and Inventory Manager is on the Global Operations team reports to the Director, Global Product Operations.  Position will be located in Valencia, Spain.The Planning and Inventory Manager is responsible for master data, material requirements planning, production scheduling, and inventory management in coordination supply chain functional leads to ensure product availability for customer orders.Manages day-to-day activities such as coordinating the deployment of materials and equipment to support new and existing operations at field offices and ensuring that direct materials have been sufficiently planned to maintain safety stock. 

What You’ll Do


  • Responsible for developing the finished goods, raw material, and equipment requirements planning based upon Commercial Demand Forecasting.
  • Responsible for managing long range material requirements based on annual demand forecast and tactical short-range planning based upon current sales forecast updates.
  • Manage production scheduling of Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO) and internal production resources.
  • Team with Procurement lead to establish raw material and equipment purchasing requirements and purchase orders, and MRP stocking strategies.
  • Team with the Distribution and Trade Compliance lead to manage material distribution to all warehouse and production locations, and manage aging inventory/SLOB.
  • Coordinates Inventory Transfers (Fulfillment) with Warehouse, Procurement, and Field Operations.  Ensuring full accountability for inventory levels. 
  • Executes internal order management for equipment, raw materials and finished goods.
  • Responsible for managing aging inventory/SLOB activities, including product expiration activities, to extend shelf life when possible.
  • Responsible for master data management of raw material, finished goods, and equipment part numbers.
  • Responsible for MRP and inventory safety stock set up in supply chain software program including safety stock levels, reorder points, min/max settings, lead times, order quantities, and item classes.  
  • Leads the S&OP process – develops and expands content and visibility to gain commitment on supply plans to support the business.
  • Manage and utilize the company’s preferred planning tools to streamline and automate the process of creating and maintaining schedules for integration projects, sustaining operations, and manufacturing.
  • Other duties as directed by the Supervisor or Department that support the activities and objectives of the position.

What You Bring


  • 10+ years master planning and inventory management experience within a multi-national business structure
  • Strong business and financial acumen 
  • Action-oriented, taking initiative to engage with internal and external parties directly to solve complex problems 
  • Highly collaborative and able to rally effort towards a common purpose 
  • Demonstrated organizational/planning and communication skills 
  • Highly adaptable and able to juggle tasks across multiple concurrent projects to accomplish objectives 
  • Strong attention to detail, and advanced data-driven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines 
  • Advanced experience with spreadsheet analysis and ERP systems (MRPeasy an advantage) and familiarity and comfort with other software tools (e.g., Jira, Slack) 
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 15%) 
  • English proficiency required; Spanish proficiency a strong asset 
  • Role located in Valencia, Spain
