We are seeking an Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for providing technology direction to manage projects, integrate electrical systems and components for power, locking and access control on mechanical products for Capsa Healthcare. Position Location:
Portland, Oregon
As the Electrical Engineer, your contributions to the team will include:
- Lead electrical engineering initiatives, provide technology direction and manage projects within budget and timeline constraints.
- Design and troubleshoot all aspects of analog and digital circuits.
- Integrate products using USB/serial or wireless methods to computer systems for control and monitoring.
- Design products to comply with EMC regulations as well as coordinate and conduct EMC testing.
- Develop product specifications and test plans for electrical and electromechanical assemblies.
- Comfortable doing research, testing concepts, and creating technology briefs.
- Interact with Industrial Design and Mechanical Engineers to develop complex electromechanical assemblies.
What we ask of you:
- Required: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 2+ years of industry experience
- Printed circuit board assembly/design including component selection
- Demonstrated experience in electronic hardware and firmware design
- Experience working with PIC, AVR, or similar microcontrollers a plus
- Solid working knowledge and experience with Altium electronic schematic and PCBA layout software; equivalent software experience will be considered.
- Proven experience with firmware design for embedded systems including serial communication, displays, user interface and sensor integration.
