Job Summary


Random Bit is seeking a Technical Business Analyst, preferably with experience in Medicaid, Medicare, or Health and Human Services to work closely with our architects on Medicaid enterprise system modernization planning projects.  This position is responsible for analyzing business processes, facilitating workshops, developing models, documenting requirements, and evaluating organizational impacts for solutions that transform architecture, enhance capabilities, and improve outcomes across organizations within the Medicaid domain.

 Serving as a critical bridge between business and IT, the ideal candidate will be a detailed planner, expert communicator, and knowledgeable in AWS Cloud technologies. 

Responsibilities


  • Interview subject matter experts, technical staff, architects, and other resources to gather requirements, analyze artifacts, and identify opportunities for transformative system modernization
  • Serve as thought leader for both the business and technical processes analyzed
  • Create, maintain, and update detailed documentation including business requirements, process flows, use cases, and user stories to convey the current state and target goals
  • Thoroughly capture business, information, and application models as output from work sessions, research, and independent analysis
  • Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements in conjunction with the architectural impacts to the business, data exchange, and application implementation viewpoints
  • Prepare document outlines to manage expectations with stakeholders
  • Produce and present easy-to-understand documentation and supporting visuals for clear and concise representation of the analysis completed
  • Conduct quality assurance on completed project deliverables

Required Experience and Skills: 


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, related discipline, or commensurate experience
  • At least five years proven working experience in business analysis
  • Proficiency in requirement gathering techniques, process modeling, and documentation
  • Strong understanding of databases, APIs, and software architecture
  • Can read or write SQL, Python, etc. preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant tools such as Microsoft Office, Visio, JIRA, Confluence, SPARX/EA, Draw.io, etc.
  • Familiarity with modeling frameworks such as UML, ArchiMate, etc.
  • Proficient in modeling Activity Diagrams, Mind Maps, Process Flows, Entity-Relationship Diagrams, etc.
  • Experience working in the Health and Human Services field, preferably Medicaid
  • Detail-oriented and capable of delivering high quality documentation
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and diagrams

  • Cybersecurity Analysis Certification (CCA)
  • PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

This position can be remote and work hours must be based on Eastern Standard Time business hours. This is a W-2 position and we offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
