We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Proposal Writer and Manager to lead and manage the development of compelling, compliant, and winning proposals for federal, state, and local government opportunities. This role combines strategic thinking, persuasive writing, project management, and a strong understanding of the IT services industry.Responsibilities• Manage the full lifecycle of proposal development, including capture support, content creation, editing, formatting, and final submission.• Write and tailor technical and management proposal sections, executive summaries, and past performance narratives.• Develop proposal outlines, compliance matrices, and schedules; facilitate proposal kickoff and color team reviews.• Collaborate with business development, subject matter experts, solution architects, and executive leadership to gather and refine proposal content.• Maintain and update a library of proposal content, templates, and boilerplate material.• Ensure all proposals are fully compliant with RFP/RFQ/RFI requirements and aligned with company messaging and branding.• Monitor and respond to proposal amendments, clarifications, and questions.• Track proposal progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.Required Qualifications• 5+ years of experience writing and managing proposals in the IT services or government contracting space.• Strong understanding of the federal procurement process (FAR, IDIQs, GWACs, GSA Schedules, etc.).• Exceptional writing, editing, and grammar skills.• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and proposal management tools.Education• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, or related field.Desired Qualifications• APMP certification (preferred but not required).Compensation & Benefits • Wage Range: [[$99,999.99 – $99,999.99 per year] or [$99.99 - $99.99 per hour]]• General Benefits: Custom Software Systems, Inc.
