What We Are Looking For


Persado is looking for an Arabic (Hijazi dialect) Content Localiser & Proofreader, eligible to work as a Freelance Contractor to join our growing team. This role focuses on content tailored for the Western Saudi Arabian dialect, primarily spoken in Jeddah, Makkah, and Madinah.

What You Will Work On


  • Collaborate with Brand Content Strategists to understand client requirements and campaign objectives.
  • Assist in crafting compelling content that inspires action, ensuring adherence to brand voice and tone.
  • Carefully proofread and edit content, ensuring flawless spelling, grammar, and syntax tailored for the Hijazi-speaking audience.
  • Ensure that client revisions and tone of voice guidelines have been accurately implemented.
  • Ensure compliance with our clients' complex brand guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Support content harmonization where dialect overlaps occur across regions.

What You Bring


1. Language and Expertise


  • Exceptional command of Hijazi Arabic, with a deep understanding of regional vocabulary, syntax, and spoken nuances.
  • A background in Arabic Language, Translation, Linguistics, Journalism, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Flawless writing and proofreading skills tailored to the Hijazi dialect, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to content quality.
  • Knowledge of other Arabic dialects (Najdi, Gulf, Southern, or Northern) is a strong plus.

2. Experience & Industry Knowledge


  • 2-4 years of copywriting/proofreading experience

  • Experience in B2C digital marketing or advertising
  • Familiarity with brands that have a strict tone of voice and legal guidelines
  • Awareness of cultural references, media, and local expressions common to Central Saudi Arabia

3. Marketing & Content Creation


  • Ability to adopt and maintain brand voice across different clients

  • Experience with multiple marketing channels (paid media, email, web, SMS, direct mail)

4. Technical & Software Skills


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of CMS, HTML, graphic design, and email platforms (preferred)

5. Work Approach & Availability


  • Client-facing experience is a plus
  • Available as a freelancer within 10:00 – 19:00 Greek local time
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Efficient, proactive, adaptable, and able to work under tight deadlines
