THE ROLE:
The role of Systems Administrator II - is an individual contributor who is responsible for advanced-level management, troubleshooting, and resolving server, infrastructure, and workstation issues. This role supports various business applications, operating systems, and hardware and may also be responsible for the deployment of new infrastructure, cloud services, and development hardware to support our game development teams.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Review, triage, respond, and support requests through an internal Help Desk ticketing system
- Install, modify, or repair server and computer hardware or software, including managing user accounts
- Communicate Help Desk Ticket status to requestors and stakeholders, including providing follow-ups and conducting further investigations as needed
- Manage and prioritize tasks and maintain accurate records of issues in the helpdesk system
- Collaborate with senior IT staff, developers, and other departments to design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient IT infrastructure solutions
- Participate in employee onboarding activities, such as automated deployment of new workstations, setting up user accounts, and helping on a new hire’s first day
- Troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve advanced or escalated technical issues involving software, hardware, networking, and everything in between
- Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and patching, including some after-hours support as needed
- Manage and execute IT projects from the department’s backlog, ensuring timely delivery and documentation
- Contribute to and maintain IT and company documentation, such as Knowledge Base Articles, Confluence pages, and SharePoint sites

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of systems administration experience, with increasing responsibility and exposure to modern systems management tools
- Experience creating, managing, and improving workstation and server deployment processes
- Advanced experience maintaining and updating Windows client and server operating systems
- Experience providing support to remote workers, including familiarity with remote co-working technologies, systems, and hardware
- Advanced knowledge of Linux systems, command-line tools, virtualization and containers
- Advanced experience with PowerShell scripting and task automation
- Advanced experience administrating and implementing company-wide messaging systems such as Slack, Discord, and MS Teams
- Advanced experience working with and supporting Atlassian products, such as Jira and Confluence
- Advanced experience working with and supporting Microsoft collaboration products, such as Office 365 and SharePoint
- Advanced experience administrating Microsoft environments through tools like Azure and Windows Server
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Advanced ability to troubleshoot technical issues, isolate problems, determine solutions, and deploy fixes
- Advanced familiarity with computer and server hardware, including the ability to plan and assemble workstations and install servers into racks with minimal guidance
- Advanced understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)
- Ability to lift forty pounds
- Excellent customer service skills, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to identify deficient or ineffective processes, propose solutions, and implement them
