Job Description
The individual will be handling aircraft component and performing cleaning processes on aircraft parts using company supplied equipment. The assistant will also assist our aircraft repair technicians with some of the tasks they perform in the course of repairing aircraft parts and components (may include part cleaning, painting, or similar to assist the technicians in performing their tasks as assigned by senior personnel and/or management). Training, technical documents, proper safety equipment, and oversight are provided by PG Aerotech management and shop personnel.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning of aircraft parts in accordance with instructions and training provided by Repair Station personnel and in accordance with written procedures.
- Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations including required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Correctly, concisely, and legibly fill out all company forms and reports as required by management (both written and online).
- Work with co-workers to achieve goals and objectives set by management.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external representatives, including technicians, management, and similar.
- Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures. Perform assigned cleaning and maintenance tasks
Other Responsibilities
- Process aircraft components from receiving to the final shipping of the parts after repair.
- Assist shipping and receiving department to help package, unpackage, part mark and prepare items for shipment.
- Organize the inventory on the shelves and pull the appropriate parts for required work orders.
- Receive Purchase/Repair orders and ensure proper documentation and photographing parts.
- Manually count to check inventory with great attention to detail.
- Document Work Orders, Pick Tickets.
- Work with quality personnel and identify non-conforming parts.
Experience and Skills
- The ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings as well as a basic background check.
- Must be able to pass an OSHA fit-check for wearing a respirator during cleaning tasks. Must wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) during the performance of any cleaning tasks that require such equipment
- Two years of similar or related work experience; shipping and receiving, similar manufacturing, cleaning and/or assembly line experience will be considered.
- The ability to follow instructions and adhere to a written procedure concisely and accurately.
- Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Applicants must be able to follow instructions and have an attention for detail accurately and consistently.
- Ability to lift items and packages up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time while working.
- Punctual and reliable.
Education
- High school diploma or GED is required.
Compensation
- Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Schedule: 20 hours per week (daily hours to be discussed)
- Hourly position commensurate with experience; medical, dental, vision, life, and other insurance options; 401k with 100% match on first 4%; full time workers get paid holidays, vacation & sick/personal leave accrued on hire date.
