This role is ideal for a seasoned tax professional with a strong background in pass-through entity taxation and international tax provisions who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.As a key member of the finance leadership team, you will oversee all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and audit management. You’ll play a critical role in optimizing our tax position across our portfolio of U.S. and international affiliates and ensuring that tax strategy is aligned with broader business objectives.We’re also looking for a leader who is future-focused and innovative.
Someone who is thinking beyond compliance and toward AI-powered tools, automation, and data-driven tax solutions that can improve efficiency, accuracy, and strategic planning across the tax function.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & OversightLead, develop, and mentor the tax team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all tax filings and reports across multi state income tax, sales and use, international reporting, and indirect tax areas.
- Pass-Through Entity StrategyServe as the internal expert on pass-through entity structures, including multi-tiered partnerships and S-corporations. Provide planning strategies and manage compliance to optimize tax positions and mitigate risk.
- International Tax ProvisionsOversee international tax compliance and reporting requirements, including foreign income inclusion regimes (Subpart F, GILTI, PFIC) and foreign tax credit optimization.
- Tax Planning & Risk ManagementDevelop and implement comprehensive tax strategies to reduce liabilities, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with evolving regulations. Proactively identify opportunities and anticipate risks.
- Audit & Controversy ManagementDirect the resolution of federal, state, and international audits and serve as the primary liaison with tax authorities.
- Collaboration & AdvisoryPartner with affiliate CFOs and business leaders to guide entity structuring, operational decisions, and cross-border transactions.
- Technology & InnovationLead the adoption of AI-driven tax tools, automation solutions, and advanced analytics to improve tax processes and support long-term scalability.Leverage existing platforms like OneSource and explore next-gen solutions to ensure the department remains ahead of the curve.
Qualifications
- Experience
- 10+ years in a senior tax role, preferably in a multi-entity, global environment.
- Extensive knowledge of pass-through entities and related tax implications.
- Strong understanding of U.S. international tax provisions and foreign reporting obligations (e.g., Forms 5471, 8865, 8858, K2, and K3).
- Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Exposure to global indirect taxes (GST, VAT) is a plus.

- Technical Knowledge
- Experience identifying or implementing AI, RPA, or automation tools is a strong plus.
- Strong research and analytical abilities; adept at producing clear tax memos and communicating complex issues to non-tax professionals.
Compensation - $175,000 - $200,000Location(s) & Work Arrangement –
Baltimore, MD / Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
