If you like a fast-paced environment, a team structure that provides support, training, and development, then apply today!The role of the Manhole Technician is to assist the crew with various positions, safety, inspection, cleaning/preparation, repairs, and rehabilitation of structures. We are willing to train the right candidate! TRAVEL IS REQUIRED.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up traffic control, safety equipment, and installation equipment at the job site.
- Troubleshoot problems.
- Communicate with your management team on progress and issues that arise.
- Load materials and equipment into vehicles for transportation to and from the job site.
- Enter below ground utility structures.
- Ensure the site is left clean before the crew leaves.
- Clean vehicles, equipment and keep the site/support trailer organized and clean.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Skills and Specifications:
- Shotcrete/Gunite experience is a plus.
- Concrete finishing.
- Capable of following instructions and learning via On-Job training.
- Ability to operate a variety of simple and complex tools.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license required!
- Experience working in a physical labor position and/or outdoor construction preferred. Must be able to work in the various weather conditions.
- Ability to work overtime and out of town.
- Ability to enter and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift at least 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test, background check, D.O.T. physical and driver’s license check for past 36 months without any suspensions or major traffic violations (D.O.T. requirements).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: this is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Saturday and could include shift work, weekends, evenings, holidays - Flexibility is required as job duties demand. Hotel, flight and per diem will be paid for by the Company. $60/day per diem when traveling.
