  • Manage the end-of-end recruitment process from sourcing through offer negotiation and acceptance, ensuring seamless and high-quality candidate experience.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies to identify, attract and engage passive and active candidates for roles across all business lines and support functions.
  • Utilize innovative outreach techniques, including direct headhunting, networking, referrals and digital sourcing tools.
  • Build and maintain high-quality pipelines of department specific talent for current and future hiring needs, including recurring roles.
  • Maintain a solid foundation of human resource practices and knowledge of State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS Ohio) business operations to evaluate HR implications and develop strategies to align HR services with identified goals.
  • Partner with hiring managers and senior leadership to understand business needs, define role requirements, and align talent acquisition strategies with organizational goals.
  • Determine and recommend relocation arrangements for new hires and coordinate with new hires and vendors to ensure an efficient transition.
  • Collaborate internally with other Human Resource Services (HRS) partners to develop external offer recommendations that ensure internal equity & alignment with compensation guidelines.
  • Leverage the applicant tracking system (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter and other capabilities to enhance sourcing and screening efforts.
  • Develop and report on key talent acquisition metrics (time to fille, cost per hire, etc.).
  • Drive employer branding and recognition initiatives to enhance the STRS Ohio’s visibility and reputation in the talent market.
  • In partnership with HRS leadership, implement workforce planning strategies aligned to future department business goals.
  • Identify improvement areas to streamline processes, reduce operational costs and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Maintain human resource knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations. Stay abreast of market trends and best practices in recruiting, diversity hiring and talent acquisition technology.
  • Monitor and comply with federal, state and local legislation affecting reporting, employee-employer relations and working conditions. Educate and advise managers of employment law regulations as necessary and consult on HR recruiting policies and procedures. Ensure all screening, hiring and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Build, implement and manage a college and entry-level recruiting program, including campus outreach and internship strategy.
  • Travel, not to exceed 10% to attend job fairs or other job-related meetings and conferences.
  • Assist the HRS department in special projects and all other duties, as assigned.
