Overview:
The Higginsville Habilitation Center/HOPE(HHC) is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant. Hours of operation are 24 hours, 7 days a week from 6am-6pm and 6pm- 6am, weekend and holiday shifts needed. This person will work a minimum of a 36 hours per week schedule. This position is full time and onsite in Higginsville, MO. Essential Functions:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
  • Support residents with mobility and transfers, including use of lifts, wheelchairs, and other adaptive equipment
  • Monitor and report changes in physical or emotional condition to nursing staff promptly
  • Assist with implementation of individualized habilitation and behavior support plans
  • Perform routine health checks, including vital signs, weight, and intake/output measurements
  • Maintain clean and safe living environments, including light housekeeping and infection control practices
  • Encourage and assist residents in participating in social and recreational activities
  • Accurately complete documentation and reports in compliance with facility and state guidelines

Qualifications:


  • Current Missouri CNA certification in good standing (required)
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Experience in developmental disability or habilitation care strongly preferred
  • Ability to assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including hygiene, feeding, dressing, mobility, and toileting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
  • Able to follow individualized care plans and document care accurately
  • Reliable and punctual, with strong attention to detail and safety
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment under supervision of licensed nursing staff
  • Must pass background check, drug screening, and other state-required clearances​​​​​​​
