Overview:
The Higginsville Habilitation Center/HOPE(HHC) is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant. Hours of operation are 24 hours, 7 days a week from 6am-6pm and 6pm- 6am, weekend and holiday shifts needed. This person will work a minimum of a 36 hours per week schedule. This position is full time and onsite in Higginsville, MO. Essential Functions:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
- Support residents with mobility and transfers, including use of lifts, wheelchairs, and other adaptive equipment
- Monitor and report changes in physical or emotional condition to nursing staff promptly
- Assist with implementation of individualized habilitation and behavior support plans
- Perform routine health checks, including vital signs, weight, and intake/output measurements
- Maintain clean and safe living environments, including light housekeeping and infection control practices
- Encourage and assist residents in participating in social and recreational activities
- Accurately complete documentation and reports in compliance with facility and state guidelines
Qualifications:
- Current Missouri CNA certification in good standing (required)
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Experience in developmental disability or habilitation care strongly preferred
- Ability to assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including hygiene, feeding, dressing, mobility, and toileting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
- Able to follow individualized care plans and document care accurately
- Reliable and punctual, with strong attention to detail and safety
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment under supervision of licensed nursing staff
- Must pass background check, drug screening, and other state-required clearances
