GeoSonics, Inc., a seismic consulting company, is seeking an experienced 
Shop Manager to join our team at our St. Petersburg, Florida location.As the Shop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our manufacturing facility, coordinate, plan and direct production activities.

What You'll Be Doing:


  • Oversee all production operations, including production personnel
  • Create diagrams, drawings and instructions to assemble instruments
  • Design test fixtures
  • Maintain production flow
  • Troubleshoot at a component level and with new designs
  • Set and adjust priorities to meet customer demands
  • Provide field technicians and client support on usage and troubleshooting of equipment
  • Work with engineering on research and development
  • New product prototyping

Your Background and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or related field
  • 5 or more years experience in manufacturing environment
  • 2- 3 yrs management experience
  • Knowledge of basic standards, ie GMP, ISO-9000, IPC-J-STD-001, etc.
  • Working knowledge of PCDI23, KiCad and PCB layout design principles for schematic capture and board development
  • Strong understanding of cable and mechanical assembly and specifications
  • Experience with vibration monitoring and/or environmental monitoring equipment is strongly preferred
  • Highly proficient with electronic test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters or signal generators
  • Experience with operating metal lates, milling machines, cutoff, band table and jig saws
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized and dedicated to quality
