DESCRIPTION OF EMPLOYER:  Founded in 1901, Feeser's, Inc. is a family owned and operated full-line foodservice distributor located in Harrisburg, PA servicing the Mid-Atlantic region.  Feeser's provides an expansive offering of dry, refrigerated, and frozen products to a diverse customer base comprised of restaurants, healthcare facilities, educational facilities, and other institutions. 


SUMMARY: Energetic, personable, and self-motivated individual to support the Director of Sales. This person must be well organized, knowledgeable of sales execution and able to guide a seasoned sales team.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   


  • Work closely with the Director of Sales to develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share across Feeser’s customer segments. 

  • Lead, develop, motivate and mentor a high-performing sales team, setting clear objectives and providing ongoing coaching and support to drive individual and team success.  

  • Ensure collaboration between the Director of Sales, marketing, sales, and purchasing departments to develop and execute integrated purchasing, marketing, and sales campaigns that promote our products and services, enhance brand awareness, and generate qualified leads.  

  • Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitive activities to identify growth opportunities, mitigate risks, and make informed business decisions along with Director of Sales.   

  • Work directly with Regional Sales Managers and District Sales Representatives supporting their day-to-day efforts in customer management, product education, promotions and prospecting. 

  • Foster strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and industry partners to enhance business partnerships and drive mutual success.  

  • Manage sales performance metrics for all segments, opportunities for product penetration and margin optimization initiatives while driving continuous improvement across the sales team. 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, including operations, finance, and logistics, to streamline processes, resolve issues, and achieve organizational goals.  

  • Present sales and margin performance to senior leadership with key insights and opportunities with supporting initiatives to drive growth. 

  • Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge and drive innovation within the organization.  

SKILLS REQUIRED: 


  • Great verbal and written communication skills 

  • A results-oriented mindset focused on driving revenue growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.  

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing business needs.  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software; experience with ERP systems is a plus.  

  • Professional appearance with an outgoing personality  

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multitasking daily responsibilities  

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:   


  • Business degree or other relevant degree (preferred)  

  • Minimum of 5 years sales management (required) 

  • Minimum of 5 years of food service sales or experience in the food industry (preferred) 

  • Demonstrated success in managing B2B sales, preferably with foodservice distributors, restaurants, hotels, or institutional clients (e.g., schools, hospitals, or catering services). 

  • Strong leadership with ability to lead a sales team (required) 

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:     


  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.   

  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment up to 50 pounds.   

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.   

  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.   

  • Communicating with others to exchange information.  

  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.   

  • Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust.     

  • Ability to frequently travel within delivery footprint and work with RSM’s and Sales Representatives weekly.
