JOB SUMMARY
The Technical Account Manager (TAM) plays a key role in building trusted relationships with clients, positioning PTIT as their go-to IT advisor and technical solutions provider to ensure both business continuity and success. This role requires close collaboration with Sales, Account Management, and Project Management teams to develop new client relationships and support existing ones by assessing both the technical and business needs of prospects and crafting tailored solutions. The TAM is also responsible for proactively identifying potential challenges for customers and providing recommendations by understanding their current and future IT requirements throughout the ongoing business partnership.Other requirements include participating in ongoing training and attainment of manufacturer certifications and developing and maintaining relationships with user and vendor contacts.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Physical Requirements:
- Moderate lifting or exerting force of up to 20 pounds occasionally
- Ability to travel to customer locations throughout the workday
Education & Experience:
- Minimum three years’ experience
- MCSE or equivalent experience preferred
- Knowledge of end-user and server hardware, Windows OS, and networking solutions, including installation and configuration experience.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Cloud Services (such as Azure)
- Experience with Active Directory, networking hardware, anti-virus software, VPN, desktop support, and colocation systems
- Strong interpersonal skills required to effectively communicate with clients and vendors, including in person, over the phone, and through writing.
- Passion for teamwork, continuing education, problem solving and exceptional customer service
- Must be well spoken, organized, detail oriented, and dependable
- Background check and drug screen required
