ARS is currently looking for a Chief Architect in support of a Space Systems (SSC) program in Boulder, CO.
As a Chief Architect, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and leading the execution of Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Tools, Applications, and Processing (TAP) centric IT architecture strategies that align with mission requirements. You will collaborate with various groups, teams, and organizations to ensure that the technological frameworks are robust, scalable, and secure.   • Oversee and plan enterprise-level evolution of Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Tools, Applications, and Processing (TAP) centric operating environment.
  • Ensure the OPIR TAP operating environment’s / Lab’s hardware/software baseline is documented, leading identification of architecture level risks, issues and opportunities, convening and running working groups (standing or temporary) when necessary to conduct studies, trades and develop solutions
  • Develop and recommending long-term (3+ years) investments to meet strategic direction
  • Lead architectural strategy and design initiatives
  • Ensure alignment of IT architecture with mission goals
  • Develop and implement scalable and secure system architectures
  • Collaborate with various groups and programs to gather system requirements
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools
  • Oversee the integrity of system integrations and data flows
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to IT teams
  • Ensure compliance with standards and regulations
  • Document architectural designs and frameworks
  • Analyze and address technical risks and issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Master's degree in engineering, computer science or related IT field
  • At least 15 years industry-related experience including at least 5 years software development, integration and/or test into operational DoD or other national security facilities (industry and/or Government roles)
  • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

The annual salary range: $185k - $220k. Salary is dependent upon the role and associated responsibilities, candidate's experience, and qualifications to include education/training, and key skills. All positions at Applied Research Solutions are subject to background investigations.
