Description
We’re seeking a dynamic 2D Artist to create stunning visuals that will define the aesthetics of our game.
Responsibilities:
- Crafting quick and detailed illustrations of environments, characters, buildings, vehicles, and props
- Working closely with other members of the team, including the art director, game designers, and programmers, to create high-quality 2D art assets for the game. This includes character designs, background art, UI elements, and marketing materials.
- Effectively interpret briefs and meet tight deadlines
- Proven skills in Photoshop, Painter (or equivalent)
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in 2D digital art, with a strong portfolio showcasing a mastery of digital painting and illustration.
- Strong understanding of composition, color theory, and lighting, with the ability to create hand-painted digital art that captures the aesthetic of 1970s American culture. Experience with vector and raster graphics, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and similar programs. Knowledge (or at least understanding) of 3D modeling and animation a plus, but not required.
- The ability to conduct research for reference and inspiration
- Effective self-organization, initiative, and the capacity to work independently
- Degree in Game Art, Game Design, or Fine Art (or equivalent industry experience)
- Passion for video games, creativity, and a meticulous eye for detail
- Proficiency in crafting clear concepts that align with copywriting and other media
