About the opportunity:
We’re seeking an experienced, passionate Chef Leader to manage and oversee a CookUnity culinary operation for one of the world's most well-known Chefs. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring that the Chef’s vision and standards are flawlessly executed, encompassing recipe consistency, food quality, kitchen operations, and team leadership.This is a unique opportunity to work closely with one of the most celebrated chefs in the world and be part of an innovative platform reshaping how people experience chef-crafted meals at home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day production of the menu, ensuring culinary excellence, recipe consistency, and high-quality execution.
- Act as the primary liaison between the Chef Owner and the CookUnity operations team, ensuring his creative vision is properly represented.
- Lead, train, and manage a small team of line cooks and kitchen associates, producing the menu items at scale.
- Maintain strict adherence to CookUnity’s food safety standards, including proper allergen handling, labeling, and packaging.
- Troubleshoot production or kitchen issues proactively, offering creative solutions while maintaining brand integrity.
- Support the successful launch and onboarding of new menu items as they are developed by the Chef
- Track and report production metrics such as yields, waste, and labor hours to help maintain operational efficiency.
- Create a positive, organized, and high-performing environment that encourages teamwork, pride, and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience leading teams in a high-volume restaurant, commercial kitchen, meal prep operation, or food manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to translate a chef’s culinary vision into consistent, scalable production.
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety (ServSafe or equivalent certification strongly preferred), and allergen protocols.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Comfortable working hands-on in the kitchen daily.
- Basic proficiency with email and spreadsheets (Google Sheets, Gmail, etc.)
- Conversational Spanish is a plus.
- Must have the stamina to be on your feet for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Valid food handler's license.

Production will take place daily at CookUnity’s kitchen facility in Williamsburg
Compensation
All final pay rates will be determined by candidates experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
