Position Summary


We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who brings more than financial expertise—someone who embodies servant leadership, thrives in a people-centered, performance-focused organization and is energized by partnership and purpose. This role will be instrumental in leading Verve’s financial strategy and aligning with both executive leadership and our private equity stakeholders. Willing to work in the office four days per week.The CFO will lead financial operations, drive business insights, and serve as a key contributor to strategic planning.

The ideal candidate has experience working with private equity-backed companies, brings strong relational leadership, and aligns deeply with our core values.

Requirements

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES


Strategic Financial Leadership


  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to lead Verve’s financial strategy, planning, and business modeling.
  • Provide actionable insights that guide long-term financial sustainability and enterprise value.
  • Deliver accurate, timely reporting and strategic recommendations to the Board and PE sponsor.

Private Equity Stewardship


  • Act as the primary financial liaison with Verve’s Private Equity partner.
  • Ensure alignment with investor expectations, covenant compliance, and quarterly reporting.
  • Lead initiatives to improve EBITDA, streamline operations, and prepare for future transactions or transitions.

Operational Finance & FP&A


  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across all business units.
  • Support pricing strategy, client profitability analysis, and investment decisions.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, banking, insurance, and treasury functions.

Accounting, Compliance & Risk


  • Ensure GAAP compliance, clean audits, and sound internal controls.
  • Lead the accounting team in timely closes, tax filings, and audit readiness.
  • Monitor enterprise risks and maintain appropriate financial safeguards.

Leadership & Team Development


  • Build and lead a high-performing Finance and Accounting team.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and growth-minded culture.
  • Serve as across-functional leader and trusted advisor to business partners.

QUALIFICATIONS


  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership, including CFO or senior finance roles in private equity-backed companies.
  • Experience in recurring revenue industries such as UCaaS, SaaS, or telecommunications.
  • Experience working with Tier 1 / Tier 2 Audit firms.
  • Track record of  success in $20M–$100M revenue organizations, with M&A and integration exposure a plus.
  • Strong command of GAAP, FP&A, financial modeling, and compliance.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.

Salary Description$234k to $293k (bonus + equity)
