Detailed Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Technician to join our team in Houston, Texas. This is an onsite position within our Network Operations Center (NOC) environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network technologies.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintain strong working relationships with customer and team.
- Work on site hardware failure cases for Netsync’s Network Support service contracts.
- Perform network appliance installations.
- Customer, Partner/Vendor and cross-department relationship/partnership management.
- Manage and update support cases in Customer, Netsync and OEM systems.
- Collaborate with team to maintain availability for 24x7 support.
Additional Duties:
- Assist in continual improvement to further streamline and automate existing processes and procedures.
- Assist Netsync’s NOC with Network Support cases.
- Continued technical education in the networking field.
- Assist with end user compute repairs.
- Upkeep of work area.
- Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Skills and Experience:
- 1 or more years IT experience.
- Solid understanding of networking and security including routing/networking and TCP-IP protocols.
- Able to routinely lift at a minimum 40 lb.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Curiosity and strong desire to constantly learn.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office’s suite of programs.
Minimum Qualifications/Technical and Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, CCNA or an equivalent from another manufacturer/vendor (Network+, JNCIA, ACSA).
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Clean Driving Record.
