The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Corporate Controller to lead our accounting operations and support the financial integrity of the organization. This role is critical in ensuring timely and accurate monthly closes with minimal post-close adjustments, while building leadership confidence in the reliability of financial data—especially project-level revenue and margin reporting.The successful candidate will play a key role in the continued implementation of Accounting Seed, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to operations.
Additionally, this role will be responsible for maintaining clean audit results and strengthening internal control frameworks to support compliance and scalability as the organization grows.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Accuracy & Strategic Reporting
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial statements, with a focus on revenue recognition by project and gross margin analysis.
- Develop and maintain robust project-level reporting tools to support executive decision-making
- Review and validate monthly financial results, ensuring alignment with operational performance and business expectations.
- Serve as the finance point of contact for project-level profitability and margin inquiries.
Accounting Operations Oversight
- Supervise day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Oversee the Corporate Accountant’s responsibilities, ensuring timely month-end and year-end close processes.
- Manage intercompany reconciliations, fixed asset tracking, and audit preparation.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies, including documentation for external audits (e.g., Deloitte).
Systems & Process Leadership
- Lead the Accounting Seed system conversion project, ensuring seamless integration with existing workflows and data integrity.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline finance operations and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure financial systems support business growth and scalability.
Team Leadership & Development
- Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching.
- Coordinate cross-training to ensure business continuity and resilience.
Compliance & Controls
- Maintain and enhance internal control frameworks to support audit readiness and risk mitigation.
- Prepare documentation and respond to inquiries from external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and company-specific accounting policies.

- Experience with an ERP system (i.e. Microsoft D365), a CRM platform (i.e. Salesforce), and Accounting Seed would be preferred
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
- A CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation
Experience
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity .
- Proven experience overseeing AR/AP functions, month-end close, and project-based revenue and margin reporting.
- Familiarity with Accounting Seed or similar ERP/accounting systems is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with external auditors, managing internal controls, and supporting system conversions is essential.
- Prior exposure to intercompany reconciliations, fixed asset management, and financial reporting in a multi-entity environment is beneficial.
