Position: Financial Management Analyst
Location: National Capital Region (NCR)Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Implement and monitor internal controls.
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Assist with accounting software and tools: Oversee FM accounting systems and ensure data is entered correctly and efficiently.
- Ensure data integrity: Maintain accurate and secure financial records within the system.
- Identify and implement best practices for improving efficiency in accounting functions (e.g., automation of routine tasks).
- Procure to Pay -Optimize procurement, vendor relations, and invoice accuracy. Maintain and generate monthly/quarterly accrual estimates. Address and resolve unmatched disbursements (UMDs).
- Budget to Report -Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Prepare and analyze General Ledger Accounts (GLAs) and posting logic for new requirements. Reconcile real property records with DoD Service Real Property Office records.
- Order to Cash -Manage invoicing, payment processing, and cash flow with DFAS Cash Management Report.
- Acquire to Retire – Track assets from acquisition to disposal. Process monthly Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) files into FaaS.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree, plus 10 years of financial management experience in a Working Capital Fund (WCF) DoD environment, or 5 years of DoD experience and any of the following degrees/certifications:
- Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
- Certified Defense Finance Manager (CDFM)
- Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
- Experience in accounting operations management desirable
