In this role, you’ll support the Corporate Controller with day-to-day accounting operations, focusing on accounts receivable, expense processing, and reconciliations.Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on collections
- Reconcile credit card statements and apply proper coding
- Support accounts payable and employee expense reimbursements (via Expensify)
- Maintain accurate accounting records
- Assist with monthly close tasks and documentation
- Help resolve discrepancies in accounts
- Support ad hoc accounting projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–2 years of accounting or finance experience preferred
- Strong reconciliation and account analysis skills
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Highly organized and detail-focused
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Quick learner with a proactive attitude
Nice to Haves
- Experience working on a remote/distributed team
- Based in the Chicago area or able to attend occasional in-person meetings if needed
- Familiarity with Expensify or other accounting software
