You'll find musicians, world travelers, beer enthusiasts, nerds, sports fans, and all-around great people who shape our positive culture.Your RoleWe’re looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll support the Corporate Controller with day-to-day accounting operations, focusing on accounts receivable, expense processing, and reconciliations.Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing financial reports and statements
  • Manage accounts receivable and follow up on collections
  • Reconcile credit card statements and apply proper coding
  • Support accounts payable and employee expense reimbursements (via Expensify)
  • Maintain accurate accounting records
  • Assist with monthly close tasks and documentation
  • Help resolve discrepancies in accounts
  • Support ad hoc accounting projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1–2 years of accounting or finance experience preferred
  • Strong reconciliation and account analysis skills
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly organized and detail-focused
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment
  • Quick learner with a proactive attitude

Nice to Haves

  • Experience working on a remote/distributed team
  • Based in the Chicago area or able to attend occasional in-person meetings if needed
  • Familiarity with Expensify or other accounting software
