Our IT team supports cutting-edge technologies in high-performance computing (HPC), cloud platforms, data center infrastructure and enterprise applications.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Intern to join our IT Support team. This internship offers hands-on experience with the deployment, management, and support of enterprise-level IT systems and applications, HPC clusters, and data center operations.What you will get to do:
- Provide routine hardware and software support for users.
- Assist with setup, configuration, and maintenance of HPC clusters and servers.
- Perform routine data center operations including hardware installation, cabling, racking, and troubleshooting.
- Support internal users and IT team with infrastructure or application-related issues.
- Monitor system performance, logs, and perform diagnostics.
- Participate in system upgrades, patching, and security reviews.
- Document processes, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Occasionally provide support during after-hours maintenance or outages.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information
- Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and basic shell scripting.
- Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience or interest in HPC environments and systems administration.
- Ability to lift and install server hardware in data center racks or move equipment.
- Availability to work onsite in Hayward, CA.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous internship or hands-on experience in IT support.
- Exposure to data center monitoring tools.
- Basic understanding of virtualization and cloud technologies.
