Engineering Manager
at CertifID will push the boundaries of innovation and further our people-first values by directing the activities of one of our Software Engineering teams. This role is for a former engineer who loves expanding their reach by leading a high-performing team of engineers. The candidate should be experienced in building back-end systems at scale.
How you will make your impact:
- Foster a culture of psychological safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.- Deeply learn our business to successfully collaborate with other groups across the company to ensure our systems are secure, resilient, and deployed with guaranteed reliability.- Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing mentorship and guidance.- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of software applications.- Drive collaboration with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.- Ensure the team adheres to best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.- Drive continuous improvement in software development processes and practices.- Manage engineering team commitments and resources to ensure successful project delivery.- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our software solutions remain competitive
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).- Although not a strict requirement, candidates for this position will usually have 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering and team management- Experience in a named role as a people leader.- Strong technical background- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.- Experience with current development methodologies and project management tools.- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
