The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the management of global consolidation activities and ensuring the accuracy of the general ledgers. This position will report to the Manager, Corporate Financial Reporting & Accounting and is based at our World Headquarters & Technical Center in Farmington Hills, MI.

Job Description: 


Senior Financial Analyst


Including but not limited to:

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Reconcile Balance sheet accounts
  • Post Month end close journal entries 
  • Reconcile Pricing issues with Purchasing department
  • Reconcile Receiving issues with MPL department
  • Support billable tooling recovery with Sales department
  • Reconcile Petty Cash and Bank deposits
  • Create Funded Alert Accounting jobs and invoices
  • Create Customer Overtime invoices (Ford, GM, STLA)
  • Process supplier chargebacks in coordination with MPL / Quality Departments
  • Process Invoices - Gas/ Electric utility, PTI subcontractor, Sunset Freight 
  • Manage Lease Query software – lease entry and reconciliation (ASC 842)
  • Manage Accounting Job set up in Plex (Capital projects)
  • YE Audit support 
  • Support Annual Budget process (Calculate Hourly Blended rate)
  • Calculate PPT (Personal Property Tax) / ESA (Essential Service Assessment)
  • Other Ad-Hoc duties as assigned by Plant Controller

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:


  • Financial Analysis / Accounting experience in the automotive industry is desired.
  • Advanced Excel computer skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability and desire to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience using the Plex Systems Manufacturing ERP helpful but not required.

EDUCATION:


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
