Position Overview: Junior Associate Visual Designer
This full-time apprenticeship is ideal for a proactive, creative, and detail-oriented individual with a passion for visual storytelling. As a Junior Associate Visual Designer, you will play a hands-on role in shaping compelling, on-brand designs that support our clients’ digital marketing goals across various platforms.
Responsibilities
Creative Ownership
- Take initiative in managing the end-to-end design process—from concept to execution—while ensuring visual outputs are high-quality, engaging, and aligned with client goals.
Collaborative Ideation
- Partner with mid- and senior-level designers, as well as cross-functional teams, to brainstorm and refine creative concepts rooted in strategy and brand identity.
Design Execution
- Design and iterate on a wide variety of visual assets including mood boards, storyboards, and final deliverables for digital campaigns, paid media, and social content.
Brand Consistency
- Maintain alignment with client brand guidelines across all touchpoints, reinforcing consistency and professionalism in every piece of work.
Strategic Presentation
- Confidently present concepts internally and externally, clearly articulating the creative rationale, strategic intent, and executional details behind your work.
Feedback Integration
- Absorb feedback with a growth mindset, applying it constructively to elevate the quality and effectiveness of your designs through multiple iterations.
Design Trends & Insights
- Stay informed on current and emerging design trends, tools, and techniques, and bring fresh insights into the creative process.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with account management, paid media, social, and content teams to ensure that visual work supports broader strategic objectives.
Technical Proficiency
- Demonstrate working knowledge of tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, XD, Premiere, and Figma, applying them effectively across projects.
Content Support
- Provide light support on content creation (e.g., basic copywriting, formatting, layout tweaks) when needed to strengthen creative output.
Analytical Support
- Occasionally assist with creative performance reviews and data interpretation to improve campaign results and inform design strategies.
Professional Development
- Proactively pursue growth through workshops, courses, design blogs, and real-world application to continuously hone your design skills.
Qualifications
- A degree or relevant experience in graphic design, visual communication, digital media, or a related field.
- Strong portfolio showcasing design fundamentals, including layout, typography, color theory, and digital-first thinking.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, XD, Premiere) and Figma.
- Excellent visual storytelling and concept development skills.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and feedback-rich environment.
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate creative ideas clearly.
- Interest in digital marketing, social media, and paid media creative trends.
- Familiarity with motion design and video editing tools is a plus.
