Overview


As a Production Technician, you’ll play a critical role in producing high-quality cannabis products in a safe, efficient, and compliant environment. You’ll support various stages of the production process—from extraction and packaging to quality assurance—while working in both indoor, climate-controlled settings and greenhouse environments.The cannabis industry evolves quickly, and success in this role requires adaptability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and embrace new technologies and practices.

What You’ll Do


  • Extraction: Operate and monitor extraction equipment to safely produce cannabis concentrates.
  • Lab Support: Prepare samples, maintain lab equipment, and follow safety and quality standards.
  • Packaging: Accurately weigh, label, and seal products for distribution.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform regular quality checks to ensure product consistency.
  • Sanitation: Maintain clean and sanitized workspaces and equipment.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all internal procedures and state/local cannabis regulations.
  • Inventory Tracking: Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies promptly.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with your team to meet daily production goals.
  • Other Duties: Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the Production Manager.

Essential Responsibilities


  • Operate production equipment following established safety and quality procedures.
  • Package and label products accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct basic quality inspections.
  • Complete production logs and inventory records with precision.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace through regular sanitation.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Adapt to new tools, processes, and expectations in a fast-paced setting.
  • Perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications


Required:


  • 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid government-issued photo ID

Preferred:


  • Experience in cannabis, laboratory, or manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with extraction processes, production software, and documentation practices
  • Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies

Physical Requirements


  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly
  • Stand and move continuously during shifts
  • Perform physical tasks such as squatting, bending, and repetitive motion
  • Wear required PPE (e.g., safety glasses, footwear)
