Sr Project Engineer Technical Support Specialist, Lyra Technology Group


Lyra Technology Group is looking for a full-time Sr Project Engineer Technical Support Specialist, to join the team at one of our operating companies, DKBinnovative, in Frisco, TX. The Sr Project Engineer (PE) is responsible for the design and implementation of LAN/WAN, Server and Cloud Services technology. PEs are required to work closely with our Design Desk (system architect) and deliver technical solutions that meet a client’s business requirements and therefore must be able to communicate effectively across all levels of a corporate structure.

The PE will provide some tier 3 technical support to clients and internal support team members.

Your work as the Sr Project Engineer Technical Support Specialist, includes several components:


• Manage the full lifecycle of small-scale projects, ensuring delivery aligns with client goals, timelines, and budgets.• Design and implement LAN/WAN and server infrastructure and related peripherals including:o Routers | Firewalls | Switches | VPNo Virtualization (VMware and Hyper V)o Physical and Virtual Host Server Hardwareo Windows Server and Active Directoryo RDS/Remote App | Citrixo SQL Servero VoiP and PBX based telecomo Enterprise Storage Solutions including SAN, NAS, and Tiered/Cloud Storageo Enterprise Backup and DR Solutionso Cloud Services including Azure and O365o Email Services including Premise and Office 365o Wireless Access Technologieso Security and compliance technologieso Desktop and Mobile Device Technologyo Application Software with 3rd party coordination• Perform major IT migrations including office moves, data center, ISP and on-prem to Cloud/Azure• Travel to client sites to provide onsite service and support as necessary (95% DFW local)• Work closely with vCIO and Design Desk to solve technology to meet client business objectives• Participating in on call support rotation• Onboarding and accurate documentation of client systems• Provide pre-sales design and support to internal team members.• Evolve internal professional services processes in response to rapid industry changes.• Document internal processes and procedures to maintain consistent results and efficiencies, including creation of network diagrams and technical process documentation and checklists.• Effectively communicate with clients and manage their expectations, support the project coordinator/manager.• Manage and transport products and inventory for assigned projects.• Attend and conduct internal and client meetings.• Maintain industry product knowledge through training and certification programs.• This role will also include o the application of systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications, collaborating with the project manager and design desk team to do so;o the design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing or modification of computer systems (OS’s) or programs, including prototypes, based on and related to user or system design specifications provided by the design desk;o and the design, documentation, testing, creation or modification of OS’s.

Our ideal Sr Project Engineer Technical Support Specialist, has the following qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.• 5-8 years of relevant experience in the MSP industry, with a focus on IT project management and technical support.• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and system administration.• Proficient in industry-standard technologies and platforms. (e.g., Windows Server, Microsoft 365, virtualization technologies)• Experience with project management methodologies, tools, and software.• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.• Preferred, but not required certifications: o CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+o Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (or equivalent)o Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)The targeted base compensation for this role is $100,000-$110,000 per year and will operate out of the Frisco, TX office on a hybrid basis.If you're motivated by meaningful client relationships, strategic selling, and a dynamic work environment—we want to hear from you.
