Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and data-driven Merchandising Manager to oversee product strategy, assortment planning, and customer experience across all retail and e-commerce channels. This role will be instrumental in ensuring our customers are presented with compelling, functional, and on-brand products that support the FluentPet mission. You will collaborate with product, marketing, operations, and e-commerce teams to deliver seamless product presentation and optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute merchandising strategies that align with brand goals and customer insights.
- Manage the product lifecycle, including new product introduction, pricing strategy, bundling, and end-of-life transitions.
- Analyze product performance and customer behavior to guide assortment planning and inventory decisions.
- Collaborate with product development to identify new merchandising opportunities and customer needs.
- Own the visual merchandising and categorization strategy on FluentPet’s e-commerce platforms.
- Work closely with marketing to support product launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns.
- Partner with supply chain and operations to forecast demand and ensure product availability.
- Monitor competitor trends and market insights to inform merchandising strategy.
- Ensure a consistent and engaging brand experience across product listings, packaging, and promotional materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in merchandising, e-commerce, or category management, preferably in consumer goods or DTC brands.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and customer insights into actionable strategies.
- Proficiency with tools like Excel/Google Sheets, Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Shopify or merchandising software.
- Experience with inventory management and forecasting.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- A customer-first mindset with a passion for improving product experience.
- Strong collaboration skills and comfort working cross-functionally in a remote team environment.
