This is how we guide brands onward.Position Summary:Grizzly is looking for a Senior Designer to lead the end-to-end design process across brand identity, packaging, digital, and campaign work.
As a key contributor and mentor within the design team, the Senior Designer champions creative problem-solving, ensures visual excellence, and helps guide the delivery of work that is both strategically sound and beautifully crafted.Senior Designers at Grizzly collaborate across departments and directly with clients to produce compelling, business-driven creative solutions. You will lead by example, giving thoughtful feedback, mentoring junior designers, and proactively identifying opportunities to improve outcomes, processes, and the overall design practice. This role requires experience working with B2B and/or technology brands and fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Figma.
Key Responsibilities:
Champion Creative Excellence
- Translate business goals into strategic and creative design outcomes
- Articulate and present ideas clearly to internal teams and clients
- Provide thoughtful, constructive feedback and encourage design collaborationIdentify opportunities to streamline design workflows and improve output
- Mentor and coach junior design team members
- Contribute to Grizzly’s thought leadership and internal culture
Conceptualize & Produce Design Solutions
- Own and oversee design projects from start to finish
- Balance creative exploration with business objectives and user insights
- Translate research and feedback into refined design outcomes
- Champion the connection between brand strategy and visual storytelling
- Stay flexible and solution-oriented across shifting project scopes and timelines
- Deliver work on time and on budget while upholding high quality standards
Always Be Learning
- Stay ahead of design trends, tools, and emerging technologies
- Maintain expertise in key tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch, and Figma
- Seek out and test new tools that elevate design capabilities
- Take initiative to grow as a designer, leader, and teammate
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of professional visual design experience3–6 years of agency experience
- Experience leading and mentoring creative teams
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Figma
- Proven ability to design brand and web systems
- Strong layout, typography, and digital design skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication
- Ability to manage multiple projects with clarity and precision
- Experience working cross-functionally with strategy, production, and client service teams
- Strong conceptual thinking and user-centered design instincts
Work Requirements
- Must be located within a one-hour drive of San Diego, CA
- Flexibility with schedule to meet client commitments
- Domestic and international travel may be required
