As a leading global DTC eCommerce platform, we provide technology and services that enable brands to localize checkout, logistics, compliance, and customer service in over 200 markets.We're scaling rapidly, and to support our growth, we’re looking for a Senior UI Engineer who thrives on building fast, accessible, and intuitive web interfaces that power global commerce.As a Senior UI Engineer, you’ll join a highly collaborative product and engineering team focused on delivering best-in-class user interfaces for our eCommerce platform.
You’ll be responsible for creating modular, scalable UI components, driving front-end architecture decisions, and mentoring developers across multiple squads.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, reusable UI components and front-end systems using modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, Vue, etc.).
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and backend engineers to bring features to life with high quality and performance.
- Translate design prototypes and wireframes into responsive, accessible web interfaces.
- Champion and contribute to our front-end architecture and component library (e.g., design systems, style guides).
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness for all UI features.
- Optimize front-end performance and improve loading times and accessibility scores.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in UI/front-end development, with a strong focus on modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred).
- Proficient in HTML5, CSS3/SASS, TypeScript, and modern build tools (Webpack, Vite, etc.).
- Solid understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility (WCAG/ARIA).
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating UI with backend services.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD workflows, and Git-based version control.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in eCommerce or high-scale, high-availability web platforms.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring tools (Lighthouse, WebPageTest, etc.).
- Knowledge of animation libraries, motion design, or micro-interactions.
- Contributions to open-source UI libraries or design systems.
