Our company culture and sense of community at Grenova are driven by a sense of innovation, inspiration, and above all— fun.Job Summary:Grenova is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to valuate electrical systems, products, and components by designing and conducting research programs, applying knowledge of electricity and materials, and confirming capabilities through testing methods. This role will also work to develop products by studying customer requirements, researching and testing manufacturing methods, and modifying equipment for assembly.
This position is in-person at our Richmond, VA Headquarters Office.Work Location:1900 Ellen Road, Richmond, VA 23230Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Proficient in schematic capture and circuit board layout tools, such as Altium Designer
- Strong knowledge of electronics and software development, including:
- Analog and digital circuit design, including FPGAs
- Distributed systems and filter design
- Modern SERDES technologies and multilayer circuit layout
- Circuit analysis using PSpice or similar tools
- Debugging with oscilloscopes and related equipment
- Collaborative design with firmware teams
- Experience with IDEs for microcontrollers
- Familiarity with C, C++, GIT, and algorithm design/analysis
- Understanding of electrical certifications (UL, CE, CSA)
- Experience developing embedded solutions using PIC, STM, or ATMEL microcontrollers
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with experience in fast-paced, team-oriented environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Requirements:
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to electrical components of products.
- Collaborate effectively with the R&D and manufacturing teams.
- Create and maintain electrical safety guidelines for products.
- Design and implement validation protocols for electronic components and subassemblies prior to production.
- Apply innovative thinking to enhance product performance and functionality.
- Prepare and present various reports, correspondence, and presentations.
- Support the development of engineering documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
