ABOUT THE JOB


The Deployment Associate at Radar plays a critical role in the successful deployment of RADAR technology in retail stores. The successful candidate will possess a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team. The Deployment Associate will assist in the management of technology installations, working closely with the Deployment Manager and other team members to ensure high-quality installations. This role is integral to maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of Radar’s deployment operations.

Responsibilities:


Deployment Operations :


  • Project Execution: Collaborate with the Deployment Manager, as well as Operations and Support teams, to ensure efficient implementation of deployment plans. 
  • Coordination: Communicate with team members to ensure everyone is aligned on project tasks, timelines, and deliverables.  
  • Feedback Loop: Provide input and feedback on deployment procedures to improve the performance of internal teams and integrator partners. 
  • Documentation: Contribute to documenting the procedures and guidelines, and assist with revisions and improvements of documentation. 

Quality Assurance: 


  • Conduct Checks: Perform quality checks on installations to confirm they meet Radar’s standards. 
  • Document Findings: Keep detailed records of installation processes and any issues encountered to facilitate future improvements. 
  • Process Adherence: Ensure all deployment activities follow established procedures and guidelines. 

In your first 30 days, you will:


  • Review and digest training materials to understand the RADAR business model and our core values 
  • Dive into videos and seminars to gain a better understanding of RADAR’s technology
  • Visit RADAR offices to meet with team members and engage in debugging common issues 
  • Learn about customer support structure
  • Learn best practices and ticket-handling processes
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of RADAR support and Helpdesk protocols by reviewing runbooks and how-to guides
  • Meet with strategic team members
  • Review all processes including escalations, maintenance dispatches and operations

Communication: 

  • Stakeholder Interaction: Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and external partners to provide updates on deployment status. 
  • Reporting: Report any challenges or delays to the Deployment Manager promptly to ensure timely resolution. 
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of installation processes, issues, and solutions. 

Training and Development: 

  • Participate in Training: Engage in training sessions to gain a deeper understanding of RADAR technology and deployment procedures. 
  • Skill Development: Continuously develop technical skills through hands-on experience and training. 
  • Knowledge Sharing: Assist in training new Deployment Associates, Integrator partners, and other team members involved in the deployment process by sharing knowledge and best practices. 

Safety and Compliance: 

  • Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety standards and protocols during installations to ensure a safe working environment. 
  • Compliance Checks: Ensure all installations comply with company policies and regulatory requirements. 
  • Incident Reporting: Report any safety incidents or compliance issues to the Deployment Manager immediately. 

In your first 30days, you will:


  • Learn about Radar's mission, history, and technology. 
  • Meet key team members and understand their roles. 
  • Participate in training sessions on RADAR technology and deployment procedures. 
  • Assist in a few deployment projects under the guidance of senior team members. 

In your first 60 days, you will:


  • Take a more active role in deployment projects, handling the management of installation tasks independently. 
  • Continue learning from senior team members and asking questions. 
  • Start identifying areas for personal improvement and seek feedback from the Deployment Operations Leads and peers. 
  • Communicate with team members to walk through resolutions and manage escalations. 

In your first 90 days, you will:


  • Begin to take ownership of small deployment tasks, manage quality assurance and improve processes ensuring installations are completed to Radar’s standards. 
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving deployment processes. 
  • Contribute to improvement of deployment processes and documentation. 
  • Evaluate personal progress and set goals for the future with input from the Deployment Operations Leads. 

ABOUT YOU


Required:

  • You have some experience in technology deployment or a related field, preferably within retail environments. 
  • You have a basic understanding of hardware installations and technical troubleshooting. 
  • You have strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. 
  • You are able to work well in a team and follow directions from senior team members. 
  • You have good communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • You are willing to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures. 
  • You are able to multitask and work in a dynamic environment. 

Preferred:


  • You have previous experience with RFID technology. 
  • You are willing to work weekends, nights, and holidays, as needed. 

At RADAR, your pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role is a non-exempt position at $64,000-$97,000. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors,  including job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training. You will also be eligible to receive other benefits including: equity, comprehensive medical and dental coverage, life and disability benefits, 401k plan,  flexible time off, and paid parental leave. The pay range listed for this position is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting. Research has shown that women & underrepresented minorities are more likely to read lists of requirements and consider themselves unqualified if they don't meet every single one.
