The ideal candidate will have a strong background in educational technology, a deep understanding of the unique rostering, integration, technical, and operational needs of K-12 institutions, and a passion for designing solutions that foster successful student outcomes.Position OverviewThe Technical Onboarding Specialist plays a pivotal role in onboarding customers at their start of their journey with Kiddom. This individual will partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to roster, support, provision, and monitor, to implement scalable, efficient, and secure solutions that align with the goals and capabilities of our stakeholders.

The role demands a collaborative thinker who can seamlessly blend technical expertise with a customer-centric mindset, enabling school districts and educators to maximize the impact of our services

Technical Onboarding & Data Management


  • Serve as an Onboarding Specialist for school districts, providing in-depth technical expertise and guidance throughout rostering and provisioning process
  • Engage and support educator inquiries through Kiddom Roster Support cases
  • Provision correct curriculum and Kiddom features for customers across the country, including but not limited to State-specific curricula.
  • Build on quality assurance to ensure Kiddom access is accurate of purchasing details. 
  • Experience managing data import/export processes and familiarity with student rostering standards (e.g., OneRoster, Clever, or ClassLink).
  • Ability to support change management efforts by building trust, addressing resistance, and guiding educators through transitions.
  • Understanding of student data privacy laws and ability to ensure compliance with district and federal regulations.

Stakeholder Collaboration


  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Professional Learning to foster a positive onboarding experience to our customers
  • Engage with IT directors, school administrators, and educational leaders to understand their goals, challenges, and technical environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple onboarding projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and coordinating timelines across teams and stakeholders
  • Partner with implementation and support teams to ensure that technical designs are executed effectively and that any post-implementation issues are resolved quickly.
  • Partner with third-party vendors to establish processes and procedures for custom integrations. 

Innovation & Continuous Improvement


  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the K-12 EdTech space to proactively identify business opportunities for enhancements to our services
  • Participate in internal enablement sessions to build skills, knowledge, and confidence of the GTMl team to speak with confidence in the technical abilities of our products. 
  • Document onboarding procedures, contribute to playbooks, and suggest process improvements to streamline future implementations.

What we’re looking for:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Educational Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in technical solution design or architecture, with at least 3 years in the K-12 EdTech industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical processes to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying enterprise-scale solutions for large school districts or educational organizations.
  • Familiarity with Student Information Systems (SIS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and other educational platforms is mandatory. 
  • Experience with single sign-on (SSO) solutions, identity management, and user provisioning.
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose rostering and access issues, working with internal tools or external systems to troubleshoot problems efficiently.
  • Prior experience working in a product management or technical consulting role within the EdTech space.

$60,000 - $70,000 a yearSalary range is dependent on geographic location, prior experience, seniority, and demonstrated role related ability during the interview process.
