Help us change the world and we will help you change yours.Carbon seeks a Senior Metrology and Print Technician to join our print development team in Redwood City, CA. This role involves collaborating with the metrology team to collect and analyze CT data of 3D printed parts using a Nikon XTH225ST scanner and Volume Graphics software. The technician will also work with the print team to support engineers in executing test plans focused on system reliability, part accuracy, and R&D related to the printing process.
The split of print and metrology responsibilities is roughly 50/50, but may deviate on a week to week or day to day basis based on volume and urgency of requests.
This role is based full time in our Redwood City headquarters office.
You will…
- Work with the existing metrology team to collect CT data of 3D printed parts using Nikon XTH225ST scanner and Volume Graphics software
- Work with the existing print team to assist engineers in executing test plans related to the printing process, including system reliability, part accuracy, and R&D. This includes work in a wet lab environment and the use of solvents
- Routinely communicate and collaborate with other print development technicians to establish total workload for the day and to hand off/transfer tickets at shift change in order to maximize team productivity and efficiency. Communicate regularly with the technician team, as well as the team manager, to establish priorities

- High School diploma or equivalent
- 4-6 years of working in a hands-on production environment
- High interest in wet lab work
- Strong observational skills and high attention to detail and organization
- Strong communication skills
- Past experience with GD&T, CMM systems, light or CT-based 3D scanning, and/or 3D modeling highly preferred

The compensation bracket for this position is $$33.65 - $47.12 per hour. In order to maintain equitable internal pay practices, we aim to hire new employees near the midpoint of $40.38 per hour, taking into account your experience, work location, certifications, and the unique skills you bring to the role.
