Risk Operations Specialist


Location: Hybrid in NYC


(3 day in-office requirement)


Qualifications:


  • 1+ years of experience within risk, customer experience or payment operations, ideally in the fintech space
  • 1+ years experience working with ZenDesk
  • Experience maintaining personal and group KPIs related to capacity and quality 
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively problem solve and be a top-notch team player

A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:


  • Handle frontline fraud and policy decisioning to support ongoing business needs
  • Manage escalations related to Risk decisioning through cross-functional collaboration 
  • Complete Zendesk tickets and written communications related to end  users, internal escalations, partnerships or live payments according to relevant prioritization 
  • Communicate with end users via phone around account recovery efforts
  • Create leads for new data sources, processes and segmentation 

About the team:


As a Risk Operations Specialist, you’ll be joining the team working behind the scenes to protect Melio from bad actors; managing the risks that might have adverse impacts on our product, financials and our ability to meet client needs.  This includes “classic fraud,” but also compliance and anti-money laundering initiatives. You’ll be evaluating the verticals we work with, as well as product features to understand our unique profiles and exposures to risk. This team is focused around extending the coverage of Risk Operations, handling a broad scope of cases that arise during TLV off-hours/days.
