A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a senior level Technical Specialist with NAS (National Airspace System) experience to support commercial off the shelve procurement, system maintenance for the Enterprise Services Infrastructure Team in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform assignments on a broad range of tasks associated with the implementation of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria as they apply to technical tasks.
- Develop new technology, modify the structure of existing products, and provide technical guidance to complex projects.
- Knowledge of both state-of-the-art and aging technologies that comprise the FAA's NAS and the products from emerging NAS modernization programs.
- Interface with specialists from other backgrounds such as hardware, software, logistic support, and testing to produce fully integrated and responsive components and systems.
- Provide expertise in a specific technical area defined by the government that is not readily available in the other defined categories and is relevant to the technical operation and/or maintenance of the NAS.
- Procurement of commercial off-the-shelf hardware and software products following FAA procurement procedures and standards.
- Management of Annual Re-occurring Maintenance and Support licenses.
- Technical Writing in support of system documentation updates.
- System/SSD peer testing.
- Work independently on dealing with multiple stakeholders.
- Record keeping for all products.
- Work independently under general guidelines or objectives.
- Minimal travel (less than 5%).
- Full-time onsite and in a lab environment.
- Occasional non-standard work hours.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Required:
- Experience managing software and hardware lifecycle procurement tasks including requirement determination, quote and procurement management.
- Experience in the management of multiple projects, initiatives and tasks supporting an FAA Second Level Maintenance organization.
- Ability to manage Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) resource planning activities.
- Experience with National Airspace System procedures, such as writing support documentations, SSD, SFR, SSM, STR, TI.
- Ability to multitask and work on multiple systems to meet tight deadlines.
Preferred:
- Experience with test planning, software system release planning, and problem trouble report lifecycles.
- Experience with Mission Support Documentation.
- Experience with testing NAS system in the FAA.
- Experience in Windows, VMware, and Linux/Unix environment.
- Experience with FAA Configuration Management.
Education:
- HS Diploma/GED and a minimum of (25) years of related experience including at least fifteen (15) years of NAS experience OR
- Associate’s degree in a related field and (23) years of experience OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and (21) years of experience.
Additionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance.
