Are you ready to embrace the future with us?About the RoleJob Type: Full-timeWe are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Real-Time Operations Center (RTOC) Engineer. In this role, you will provide critical technical support for drilling and completion operations, leveraging real-time data to optimize performance and ensure safe, efficient well delivery.Responsibilities:Operational Support:
- Deliver 24/7 shift-based monitoring and support for Drilling & Completions operations.
- Identify operational anomalies and provide early warning communications in accordance with client protocols.
- Offer expert technical input on drilling engineering models, optimization strategies, and well planning.
Technical Expertise:
- Utilize advanced engineering tools such as the Engineer Data Model (EDM) suite, including COMPASS, WELLPLAN, and OpenWells, or equivalent platforms, for real-time well engineering modeling and operational analysis.
- Perform trajectory planning, anti-collision analysis, torque and drag modeling, hydraulics simulations, and more.
- Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of RTOC systems architecture, including databases, operating systems, and data management workflows.
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvements in support and service-level delivery of RTOC operations.
Data Interpretation & Optimization:
- Interpret mud-logging, surface data logging, and formation evaluation while drilling.
- Contribute to geo-steering and wellbore stability evaluations.
- Apply extensive knowledge of Drilling & Completion optimization techniques.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of well control methods including kick detection, mud volume management, and response strategies.
Requirements:
- Must have minimum Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Geology, Petroleum or related Science discipline
- Minimum five (5) years of Oil and Gas Industry experience and have extensive knowledge in Drilling and Completion Operations, D&C Optimization techniques, etc.
- Experience in using Well Engineering Model tool Engineer Data Model-EDM (COMPASS, WELLPLAN, OpenWells) or equivalent that provides experience and advanced set of skills for well planning, real time data analysis, real time well engineering modelling and well operations optimization;
- Available to work in shifts covering 24/7.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the vendor system with specific technical computing environments including databases, network, operating systems, data management, architectures and hardware.
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all RTOC components and provides support and service-level guidelines with recommendations on improvements.
- Competent with trajectory planning activities, anti-collision analysis, torque and drag modeling, hydraulics modeling, etc.
- Extensive knowledge of Drilling and Completion optimization techniques, wellbore stability, mud-logging data, formation evaluation while drilling, surface data logging, log interpretation and geo-steering
- Advanced knowledge of well control techniques, warning signs, kick detection, mud volumes management.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting Drilling & Completions operations with identification of anomalies and early warning communications using client protocols.
- Has excellent command of English language in both speaking and writing to communicate with field and office personnel.
